Records and information management consulting

I’m Amanda, I’ve worked in corporate records management for more than 20 years. I managed the full lifecycle of thousands of paper records from creation and classification to retention, archival and destruction for one of the ‘Big Four’ professional services firms.

One thing I’ve learned is that while systems and technologies, including A.I., may change, the basic need for principled, structured processes that make records and information clear and easy to find never goes out of style.

I use my skills and knowledge in recordkeeping standards and best practices to help companies organize their information for efficient access and retrieval.

You can reach out to me for:

  • Records and information management governance recommendations: Researching internationally-recognised guidelines for records management policies and procedures.
  • Metadata processes for records: Guidance on the principles of records management metadata.
  • Editing AI-generated records classification and cataloguing schemes: Using LLMs and generative AI to create records metadata and business classification schemes may be faster and more effective, but the end result still needs the human eye of an expert records person to ensure it meets best practice standards.
